The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel University College of Medicine, along with the Institute for Molecular Medicine and Infectious Disease, is seeking adjunct faculty members to develop and teach innovative courses in Cell and Gene Engineering. These courses will play a key role in the expansion of academic offerings in this fast-evolving field, shaping the next generation of professionals.

Job Summary


This remote position will involve collaborating with Drexel faculty and support staff to design and implement the new courses.

Essential Functions

  • Develop course syllabus based on Drexel's guidelines.
  • Create a course welcome message (preferably a desktop video).
  • Design course introduction in either synchronous or asynchronous format.
  • Present weekly overviews and conclusions.
  • Define learning objectives and assessments for each week's topics.
  • Develop both formative (e.g., self-assessments, exercises) and summative assessments (e.g., quizzes, assignments).
  • Participate in at least two virtual meetings with Drexel's online course development team to review course details.

Required Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in a field related to Cell and Gene Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field.
