Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. is growing and seeking an entry-level HR Generalist to join our team.

This position will be onsite at our corporate office in Chandler, Arizona and provide ongoing support to business leaders and employees while working to advance business goals and strengthen the culture and values at Microchip Technology.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting assigned internal client groups and establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Business Unit (BU) leaders and employees.

Understanding BU challenges/needs while offering support and solutions.


Managing multiple requisitions, conducting interviews, negotiating job offers, and maintaining accurate records and documentation for Affirmative Action and OFCCP compliance requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interact with managers and employees to provide overall HR guidance and support.
  • Advise managers and employees on interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Provide various staffing services including creating requisitions in Applicant Tracking System and posting jobs, conducting interviews, extending job offers, onboarding, record retention and reporting.
  • Process terminations and conduct employee exit interviews.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field is required
  • 03 years of direct experience in Human Resources, and Staffing/Recruiting
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, employees, and management.
  • Ability to work with mínimal direction and supervision, and drive tasks and projects to completion.
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple tasks/projects at once.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • HRIS Workday experience
  • Prior technical and/or semiconductor HR experience
