Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Healthcare Technology team in New York.
The Healthcare Technology team within the Private Equity Advisory Group is a rapidly growing and critically important strategic initiative for Guggenheim Securities.
Associates will join our highly collaborative team responsible for providing advisory services to private equity firms and middle market corporate clients with a strong emphasis on sell-side advisory engagements.
Our Associates benefit tremendously from the experience and partnership they have with our Senior Managing Directors, Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, and Analysts.
We will provide best-in-class Investment Banking training—formal and hands-on—as you continue to develop your professional toolkit: M&A process management, business acumen, financial analysis, data analysis, soft-selling and presentation skills, professional communication (verbal, written and virtual), negotiations, and more.
Lead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on a range of advisory transactionsPerform financial analyses to support advisory transactions and highlight key takeaways
Lead diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions
Apply understanding of macro factors related to client sectors and investment banking
Conduct "on the job" training, providing continuous, constructive feedback with goal of improving quality of analyst and intern work product
Ensure all activity is compliant with Guggenheim Securities' applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Actively participate in recruiting and training activities
Capable of balancing and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Effective communicator – verbal, written and virtual
Highly organized project manager capable of thriving in high velocity environments
Agile leader that can exercise sound judgement under pressure
Mature teammate with the ability to develop relationships with senior-level colleagues and clients
Player-Coach mentality with strong desire to mentor and train junior teammates
Desire to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial platform
Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
~2+ years of prior investment banking or equivalent M&A experience
~ Financial modeling coursework, training, or experience
~ Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week.
