Description

Do you want to change the political landscape in this country? Do you want to launch your political career and run for office? Many politicians agree that you must start canvassing on the ground level first to enlist everyday people in change-making.

Grassroots Team is seeking a motivated and outgoing individual to join our team as a Canvasser.

As a Canvasser, you will be working to canvass door to door and on the street and fundraise on behalf of our amazing non-profit partner, Amnesty International of the USA.

We work together to fight for human rights, stand up to the gun lobby, and stop public health crises caused by the erosion of women's reproductive rights and the crisis at the border.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys sales, customer service, and engaging people in conversations on important issues.

This is a great position for those who are looking for a less traditional work environment, not sitting in a cubicle, but working on their feet, using their voices, and taking action in the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct doortodoor canvassing in designated neighborhoods to canvass and fundraise
  • Engage with homeowners and provide information about our partner's campaigns
  • Explain the benefits of our offerings and answer any questions or concerns
  • Collect and enter data from surveys and conversations with community members
  • Collect contact information from interested individuals for followup
  • Attend team meetings and provide feedback on community responses
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all interactions

  • Hours: Monday

  • Friday: 1 PM to 9 PM

Qualifications:

  • You do not need experience in canvassing or fundraising
  • You must be comfortable canvassing and fundraising doortodoor in neighborhoods
  • You must be comfortable canvassing doortodoor sales
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets
  • Must be selfmotivated, energetic, and have a positive attitude
  • Strong English communication skills
  • A good work ethic, and a passion for human rights
  • Bilingual is a plus

Benefits:

  • Base Pay: $20.00
  • Paid Training
  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401K retirement plan after 90 days of employment
  • Paid time off for sick, vacation, and personal leave and paid Holidays (after 20 shifts)
