    Description

    Position Overview

    Join our team as a Composite Engineer at ES3, a leading company in the aerospace industry!

    We have opportunities available in San Diego, California, Clearfield, Utah, or Remote.

    Relocation support provided for transitions to California or Utah.

    Key Highlights of the Role:

    • Lead research and development efforts for composites in aerospace and various applications.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, fabricate, and test new composite structures.
    • Work on advanced computational methods to predict structural performance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify end user needs in commercial and military sectors.
    • Guide composite RDT&E activities to meet industry standards.
    • Develop composite designs, fabrication methods, and testing procedures.
    • Contribute to composite modeling advancements.
    • Support the publication of research papers in the field.
    • Assist in proposal writing and composite production.

    Requirements for Candidates:

    • Expertise in composite structure design and computational modeling.
    • Experience with material testing and fracture mechanics.
    • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis and related tools.

    Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. in relevant engineering or material science field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in composite RDT&E.
    • Prior work on composite-related projects preferred.

    Additional Details:

    • U.S. citizenship required.
    • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
    • Travel commitments to Utah and San Diego.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
    • Knowledge of secondary languages is a plus.
    • Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and organization.
