II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Executes moderately complex financial tasks in a timely and accurate manner; and completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines.
- Performs monthend close activities for assigned areas of responsibility including preparing journal entries of low to high complexity.
- Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; Prepare monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and adequately document conclusions.
- Analyzes monthly financial results; able to communicate trends in results and provide meaningful insights into the results. Displays critical thinking skills in preparation of analyses.
- Collects and analyze financial data and prepare monthly combined financial statements and reports. Coordinate preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy.
- Assists with evaluating, documenting, and concluding on the accounting consequences of potential transactions.
- Participates in monthly financial review meetings.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, high School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Experience: Three (3) years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
- None required.
- General understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and SEC regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Must be based in the Houston, TX area; no relocations
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
