The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites qualified candidates to apply for their Fiscal Support Specialist position. The Fiscal Support Specialist is an integral part of the administrative team within the department and offers a collaborative and supportive work culture with a diverse and dedicated team of colleagues. The successful candidate will have at least two years experience in accounting, bookkeeping, billing and/or related field.

The Fiscal Support Specialist provides financial support to the department by assisting with purchasing, expense reports, and sponsored research fiscal activities. Additionally, the position fulfills other administrative support tasks, as needed by the department.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.****Qualifications:****

**Minimum Qualifications:**

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

At least two years of bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or a related experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education

At least one year of experience with the University of Arkansas travel and procurement processes

Experience with the University of Arkansas

Experience with Workday

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

Excellent organizational skills

Proficiently skilled in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Excellent collaborative skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Ability to apply policies and procedures and other applicable regulations associated with assigned department or program
