About the Role:
HeiTech Services is seeking applicants for a Records Management Specialist 1 (RMS1) position, working on a support services contract with the U.S.
Security Clearance:
Must possess (or be able to obtain) FDA public trust clearance.
In this role, you will:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing paper and electronic documents in accordance with current SOPs, as FDA moves away from a total paper environment to an electronic paperless environment.
- Document processing includes:
- understanding multiple data entry systems;
- selection and identification of relevant data, labeling, jackets, logging, assignments and all associated data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Performing data entry functions, as needed.
- Redacting patient and/or manufacturer data.
- Performing mail operations, including: opening and date stamping mail, tracking mail in an electronic system, identifying issues and misroutes, reconciling mail, triaging document types, and perform priority processing for reports and submissions that meet certain criterion.
- Performing quality control checks according to project requirements.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must pass the data entry typing test with a score of 40 words per minute with no more than two errors.
- Must have a technical background with knowledge of folder structure systems for electronic documents.
- Must have a combination of excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to Lift and move standard boxes (up to 35 lbs).
- Must be able to work in a fastpaced paper and electronic production environment.
- Requires the ability to bend and stretch to reach files, and push a fully loaded mail cart.
- Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a Government Public Trust Security Clearance.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year of office, records, or computer experience.
