MCPHS Information Services seeks a Copy Center/Mailroom Services Coordinator.

This position reports to the Help Desk Manager and manages all Mail Room and Copy Center aspects, including overseeing student workers.

This position is fully on campus.

  • Operate all copy center equipment, including copiers, lamination machines, cutters and other print production equipment.
  • Receive and print copy jobs as well as print posters as requested.
  • Maintain a timely production schedule to meet all printing and copying deadlines.
  • Provide training on printing procedures and hardware as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot any issues with oncampus copiers, and printers, including:
Replenishing toner/ink and supplies.
Troubleshooting and fixing everyday repair tasks (paper jams, cleaning, simple parts replacement).
Reporting more severe issues to our Copier Services Vendor.

  • Manage student worker staff for the copy center and mailroom. (Hiring and training)
  • Train student employees on proper procedures and safety measures on all equipment
  • Sorts distributes and delivers incoming/outgoing mail and packages for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Deliver mail on foot to MCPHS offices and buildings according to schedule. Mail and package delivery requires delivering to 3+ freestanding buildings and occasionally inclement weather.
  • Meters all outgoing U.S. Postal mail.
  • Provides superior customer service to the entire MCPHS community.
  • Establishes and maintains professional rapport/working relationship with students, staff, and faculty, as well as various carriers.
  • Ability to reach, carry, and lift mail boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment.

Required:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant copy center and mailroom experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Led team of student workers to achieve daily tasks; ability to work as a team to accomplish goals
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to be constantly exposed to weather conditions.
