Job Title:
Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Installer qualifications (see Installer job description) and pass internal test
- Installation and termination of Coax, UTP, Multiconductor, DAS, AV/ security cable and Fiber optics cable and connectors.
- Know how to build a to do list and follow it (proactive)
- Lay out pathway for cable with mínimal direction
- Follow up with installers to make sure install is being done right and to CTS standards.
- Properly test and troubleshoot copper and fiber installations.
- Successfully interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards, and best practices
- Interpret the job plan and scope of work as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure
- Plan your 2 week look ahead for material and labor needed
- Must be able to accept constructive criticism
Job requirements
- Must have a valid, clean driver's license
- Must pass a drug screen, extensive background check and I9 screening

Education/Experience:
Minimum (2) years' experience in Low Voltage Structured Cabling Systems.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning Ability:
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software.
Certificates and Licenses:
Low-voltage electrical license or Systems Installer certification from Telecommunication/Broadcast industry organizations such as, BICSI, Info COMM, NSCA, SCTE, etc. is preferred.

Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour
