JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
As the Physical Security Manager at Burke & Herbert Bank, you will administer all internal and external physical security resources to reduce or eliminate risks related to physical security.
Essential Functions

- Implements and manages the bank's physical security program under the direction of the Director of Physical Security.
- Assists in the development of the bank's physical security policies and procedures.
- Oversees the installation, maintenance, and operation of physical security systems to include cameras, alarms, and access control.
- Creates, issues and tracks access cards, fobs, and alarm codes.
- Conducts regular reviews of security system logs to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and reports findings.
- Tracks security workorders and schedules vendors to complete work.
- Conducts regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks, reporting findings to the Director of Security.
- Trains bank staff on security protocols and emergency response procedures both inperson and virtual training sessions.
- Works with the Bank's security vendors regarding physical security issues with cameras, access control and alarm systems at all locations.
- Develops and maintains liaisons with law enforcement agencies in all locations and maintains files for each branch location listing emergency services available.
- Assist the Director of Physical Security with physical security projects such as opening of new locations, installation of new systems, updating systems, and closing of locations.
- Assists with fulfilling subpoena requests by gathering needed information from security systems.
- Works with the Bank's Director of Physical Security to manage the Emergency Response Team for the bank.
- Responds to afterhour alarm monitoring and emergencies as needed.
- Conducts investigations related to physical security and assists with other internal and external investigations as instructed by the Director of Physical Security.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Proficient in the use of security technologies and systems.
- Proficient in using Microsoft platforms (Teams, SharePoint, Office, etc.)
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to respond to afterhour emergencies as needed.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management or a related field (or the equivalent years of additional related experience).
- 8 years of physical security experience in the following areas: security operations, installing and maintaining physical security systems, conducting risk assessments, incident management and response, alarm monitoring, access control, cameras, and vendor management)
- Banking/financial industry experience preferred.
- Related management experience strongly preferred.
- ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, in-person meetings, and virtual meetings using Microsoft platforms.
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
Travel
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the bank's footprint with their own vehicle to different offices as needed.
