    Description
    *Job Title: *Patient Care Tech / Monitor Care Tech

    *Location: *Naperville, IL

    *Shift: *24hrs per week 6:30p-7a, 3-4 weekends shifts in a 6 wk period, wkends are Sat and Sunday night shift

    *Pay Rate*: $ $22.78/Hr.

    High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience or telemetry certification

    *Job Duties:
    • Telemetry Monitor Technician would be monitoring all patients on telemetry
    • MTs will be a hybrid role where staff can work as a monitor tech or patient care tech
    • Under general supervision monitors cardiac rhythms or patients in special care units via telemetry equipment.
    • Performs related clerical duties such as answering routine questions, taking/relaying calls, etc.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
    • Collect specimens for laboratory testing
    • Assist with mobility and transfers
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
    • Utilize Cerner or other electronic medical record systems to document patient information accurately
    • Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
    • Provide care in various settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, senior care centers, and memory care units
