Program Manager Job Description


The Program Manager will provide the day-to-day support to a team comprised of Keturah's Haven staff, Peer Support Specialists, Housing Support staff, and Aftercare staff.

The Program Manager will be responsible for directly supervising the team and ensuring the team has the resources they need to meet the program goals of engaging, enrolling, navigating, and housing individuals experiencing homelessness.

This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to lead this dynamic team.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or a related field preferred.
  • Must have previous experience in case management.
  • 23 years working in homeless services, with progressively responsible experience, including staff management, is required.
  • 13 years working with folks experiencing mental, behavioral health, substance use.
  • Must have good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Outlook and other digital software programs.
  • Must have compassion and empathy for women experiencing homelessness.
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and adept at creative problemsolving.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively across all aspects of the organization, including clients, team members, and management.
  • Must have knowledge of homelessness and housing services.
  • Experience in professional coaching and professional development.
  • Must be able to work with and relate to cross cultures.
  • Knowledgeable in traumainformed care.
  • Must possess time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must be able to deal effectively with conflict and crisis.

Program Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess individual situations.
  • Create personalized plans and connect pregnant women with appropriate resources.
  • Organizing daily activities based on the goals of the organization.
  • Collaborating and Networking
  • Seek new grant opportunities and manage grants and ensure compliance.
  • Devising new programs that support the organization's objectives for the residents.
  • Coming up with sustainable goals for the organization.
  • Working with other departments to develop budgets and plans for the programs.
  • Evaluating and assessing the programs' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Monitoring projects and overseeing project managers to ensure goals are met.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals.
  • Working with the board of directors to improve strategies and marketing.
  • Recruiting, training and supervising program staff and volunteers.
  • Setting program objective and monitoring progress towards their achievements.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring financial accountability. (Example fundraising, grant writing and community outreach,
