Description
The Tooling Technician will be responsible for making sure that all tooling and/or components of tooling are maintained to reach plant production rates.
Repair, maintain and replace tooling as needed to keep manufacturing running at optimal capacity.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & CAPABILITIES:
- Diagnoses malfunctioning tooling, machines and equipment using test equipment, and/or hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to clean/lubricate molds and mold components.
- Continually improve the quality of the molds and mold repairs to achieve maximum molding cavitation at superior quality levels.
- Evaluate frames and tooling for continuous improvement.
- Complete monthly tooling PM's.
- Within the confines of the job, ensure the safe operation of all tooling prior to returning it to manufacturing.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or equivalent from a twoyear college or technical school plus 2 + years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to communicate in the English language.
- Working knowledge of injection molding or plastics processes, machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical/electrical systems.
Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
