Description

Responsibilities:

Process and record financial transactions accurately and timely using QuickBooks.

Adapt to evolving tasks and responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and agility in managing workload changes.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.

Review profit and loss statements to identify trends and variances.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Collaborate with team members to support financial decision-making.

Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.

Handle inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to financial transactions.

Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.


Daily Financial Tasks:

Depositing Checks:
Receive and process incoming checks, record deposits accurately in QuickBooks.

Balancing Accounts:
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records using QuickBooks.

Expense Tracking:
Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring proper recording and allocation in QuickBooks.

Accounts Receivable/Payable:
Generate and send invoices, track payments, and manage accounts receivable in QuickBooks. Review and process vendor invoices for payment.

Financial Reporting:
Prepare and distribute financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements using QuickBooks.

Budgeting Support:
Assist in budget preparation by providing financial data and analysis.

Tax Preparation Assistance:
Gather and organize financial data for tax filings, assist with tax preparation tasks as needed.

Commission Calculation:
Calculate commissions for sales staff based on predetermined criteria and ensure accurate recording in financial systems.

Order Processing:
Assist in processing orders by maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper financial documentation.

The Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial operations of the organization.

Strong attention to detail, proficiency in QuickBooks, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential for success in this role.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
