This is an entry-level position in the food industry where you will be responsible for basic food preparation and service tasks. Your main duties will include assisting in food preparation and serving, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria and kitchen areas.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting in preparing foods and drinks.
  • Serving and replenishing food supply.
  • Cleaning cafeteria and kitchen areas, including wiping down tables, placing trays correctly, disposing of trash, and sanitizing equipment.
  • Preparing cafeteria for meals by organizing food, utensils, and napkins.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduation from the 8th grade or equivalent experience.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment.

SKILLS:
  • Maintaining order among school-aged children.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas.
  • Handling food.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require various physical abilities such as stooping, standing, walking, lifting, and more.


Heavy Work:

Exerting force to move objects.
