Mobile - Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician - This is a specialist level, where Heavy Duty Diesel Technicians are assigned responsibilities for performing highly skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of Prevost buses/coaches at our customer's facility and roadside service. Responsibilities may include trouble-shooting repair needs which are difficult to identify, independently completing major repair projects.

Mobile - Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician Core Responsibilities

Work independently as a mobile Technician utilizing a Company Vehicle or Service Truck/Van, with mínimal supervision.
Diagnose and repair electrical. HVAC, suspension, pneumatic, brake, and other systems
Respect and care for the customer and their equipment
Develop personal professional and technical skills on an ongoing basis
Foster teamwork and communications
Comply with the quality and safety standards of the organization
Diagnose and repair customer equipment.
Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Mobile Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician Knowledge, Skills & Ability

Pass required aptitude test
Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
Go to type person in areas of expertise
Ability to look up parts efficiently and independently
Assist customers over the phone with technical issues and general questions
Be proficient in electronic media and laptop use

Mobile Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician Education & Experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D required
Completion of 2 years of Technical School (Diesel) program or equivalent mechanical experience
4 years of qualified mechanical experience substituting one year of related technical school training for a year of experience

Mobile Heavy Duty Diesel Service Technician Minimum Requirements

Possess comprehensive set of tools required
Ability to read and write
Lifting heavy objects up to 49 pounds
Standing long periods of time
Exposure to extreme weather variances
Undergo a Motor Vehicle Records check

For this position, the hourly rate is set at $ $40.00, and where applicable, bonus eligible.

The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
