Overview:


The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for placing daily Par location orders, promptly putting supplies away within the assigned area, reviewing and maintaining Min/Max inventory levels, as well as handling emergency supply requests.


Responsibilities:


Operations

  • Performs and demonstrates knowledge of everyday supply chain functions such as receiving and distribution, warehousing and inventory control.
  • Oversees day to day operation of the assigned service.
  • Collaborates with management in development and implementation of policies, practices, and functional scripts.
  • Develops, maintains, and generates system management reports that accurately monitor and maintain efficiency and accuracy of the system.
  • Receives, delivers, and puts away all supplies in an accurate and timely manner, accurately key receiving into the system, and delivers items to the appropriate locations.
  • Transport and deliver legend drugs, nonprescription drugs, contrast media and drugcontaining devices relative to core competencies of the position.
  • Performs inventory management for the assigned area.
  • Evaluates the appropriate Min/Max levels, reviews Min/Max for storeroom stock daily and place orders appropriately.
  • Count par level areas according to schedule.
  • Processes returns appropriately.
  • Rotate stock to ensure no items are out of date, provide assistance with problems, questions, and concerns.
  • Assists with annual physical inventories.

Team Development

  • Trains and educates new colleagues in regards to functions and processes pertaining to Supply Chain Management and Lawson.
Department Collaboration

  • Acts as a lead in one or more of warehouse/logistics functions: Warehouse, Receiving, Distribution, or Inventory Control.
  • Demonstrates the ability to problem solve, implement agreed solutions, and customer service.
  • Informs staff on product conversions and substitutions.

Compliance/Safety

  • Responsible for reporting any safetyrelated incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safetyrelated training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
  • Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
  • If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are uptodate and valid prior to expiration dates.
  • Completes all company mandatory modules and required jobspecific training in the specified time frame.

Qualifications:

Education
High School Diploma or GED
  • Required
Associate's Degree

  • Preferred

Certification & Licensures
Arizona driver's license with no moving violations in the last 36 months

  • Required

Experience
5 years of Supply Chain experience with emphasis on Warehousing functions
  • Required
Previous personnel management/supervision experience

  • Preferred
Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
