- Collaborate with purchasing staff to resolve issues as they come up.
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Unload packages from incoming trucks.
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to purchase order and invoices (quantity, quality, )
- Contact Purchasing Staff if an error is discovered
- Assume responsibility for returning incorrect delivered goods.
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
- Ensure packing slips match actual delivered items to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and assist in inventory control as requested by Material Handling Forman
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position
- Experience in operating forklifts- Certification will be required once hired
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Essential Physical Requirements- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. frequently throughout the day, as well as the ability to walk and stand for several hours at a time.
