THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Grant Specialist (Grant Writer), you'll have the chance to shape the future direction of Reach Out and Read (ROR) Northeast as it expands into Maine. Your role involves identifying and soliciting funding from corporations and foundations, managing an existing grantor portfolio, and reporting to the Northeast Development Director.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Manage and expand foundation and corporate donors portfolio
Lead Maine grants and sponsorship process
Secure sponsorship and support for special events
Contribute content to various materials
Manage grants calendar and deadlines
Assist in planning stewardship meetings
Collaborate with departments on project planning
Support additional development projects

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Commitment to equity in opportunity and outcomes for children
25 years of grant writing experience
Strong interpersonal, research, writing, and organizational skills
Ability to drive decision-making with data
Experience in external communications
Self-motivated, organized, and flexible
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Full-time, exempt position. Remote work based in the Northeast Region with occasional travel.

Regions: ME, VT, NH, Upstate NY, MA, CT

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $65,000-$70,000 with benefits package.
