Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Class B/Class C Drivers to join our team of compassionate professionals.

As a driver at Peak Transport, you will be responsible for transporting disabled individuals, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout their journey.

You will play a pivotal role in facilitating access to important programs and services for our passengers.


Time slots include:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Safe and Responsible Driving: Operate company vehicles (Class B or Class C) in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.

Passenger Assistance: Assist disabled passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility aids as needed.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with dispatch, passengers, and program staff to ensure smooth transportation operations.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed, including the proper use of wheelchair restraints and seatbelts.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond calmly and effectively in case of emergencies or unexpected situations.

Documentation: Complete required documentation, including trip logs, passenger records, and incident reports accurately and promptly.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, showing empathy and respect towards passengers with disabilities.


Qualifications:

• Valid Class B or Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.

Must get fingerprinted (We will compensate the cost for you):

• Previous experience in passenger transportation, especially with disabled individuals, is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient demeanor.
• Ability to lift and secure mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers.
• Knowledge of local traffic regulations and routes.
• Strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
