Shift:
2nd Shift, Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol campus grounds and facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing timely and effective assistance.
- Enforce campus safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by students, faculty, and visitors.
- Manage access control at various campus points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Utilize the Guard Tracking System to maintain records of activities and incidents.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on incidents and daily activities.
- Act as a liaison between the campus community and the Campus Safety Department.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to remain prepared for various security scenarios.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security services or a related field preferred.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and stressful situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further training in security services is a plus.
- Ability to obtain Unarmed Guard Card
Salary:
$18.50/hr
Additional Information:
Security Officers are expected to be ready to handle duties during occasional large campus events, ensuring effective security coverage.
