- On-Site Management and Supervision:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, including demolition, framing, drywall installation, MEP installations, finishes, and final inspections, to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safety on the job site.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets that meet project objectives and client expectations.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for construction activities.
- Conduct regular site meetings with project teams to review progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Quality Assurance and Control:
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of construction work to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Address any deficiencies or non-conformities identified during inspections and implement corrective measures to maintain quality and mitigate risks.
- Document and maintain accurate records of on-site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and punch lists.
- Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site construction activities, communicating regularly with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to provide updates on progress, address concerns, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members to foster collaboration, teamwork, and project success.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (3 years) as a superintendent, with a focus on commercial tenant improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, techniques, and materials relevant to tenant improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
