The Opportunity
This position works out of our Menlo Park, CA location in the Structural Heart division.


Main Purpose of Role


As an Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) Inspector, you will be responsible for the visual and dimensional inspection of incoming components/materials (i.e., injection molded plastics, thermoformed plastics, metals, machined components, extrusions, and metal tubing), information for use (IFUs), packaging, and labeling materials.

Perform first article inspections as required by the Incoming Quality Assurance lead. Conduct functional testing as required by component drawings and/or test instructions. Work in compliance to AV Procedures and cGMP guidelines. May also be responsible for chemical washing/cleaning of select components.


What You'll Work On

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Inspect incoming, R&D components and production component
  • May wash or clean select components
  • Maintain inspection documentation in accordance with SOPs, WIs and GMP (CFRs)
  • Perform and process first article inspections as directed by IQA Supervisor.
  • Correlate supplier's first article inspection report with AV first article inspection results.
  • Interface with engineers on new product development, inspections and Nonconformance results.

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience / Training Required:
  • Two years' experience working in inspection, or related field.
