The City Drainage Company of the state capital Düsseldorf organizes and operates with almost 500 employees the transport, cleaning and disposal of wastewater in the state capital Düsseldorf. The Düsseldorf-Nord Sewage Treatment Plant is one of two major sewage treatment plants in the state capital Düsseldorf and has a capacity of population equivalents. The annual amount of wastewater treated is approximately 34 million cubic meters.

Your tasks:


  • Ensuring the proper operation of the wastewater treatment plant based on the approval and water law requirements, as well as documentation, evaluation and analysis of operating data according to SüwV-kom
  • Continuous process optimization of the plant and operating procedures as well as participation in the planning and implementation of new construction and renovation projects
  • Personnel management of currently 18 employees and assumption of associated personnel responsibility, coordination of vocational training for wastewater technology specialists
  • Compliance with occupational safety, environmental and health regulations
  • Responsibility for material and equipment planning, including preparation of orders and contracts
  • Close cooperation and coordination with the adjacent master areas of sludge dewatering, maintenance, electrical engineering, process
