    The Opportunity:

    Premier Group is currently recruiting for a Senior / Lead Test Automation Software Developer to join our client's dynamic team.

    The successful applicant will play an important and visible role in the company and be integral to the design, build, integration, and testing of hardware and software products.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, testing, and quality assurance and build an automation test framework from scratch.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Collaborate with product management to understand system requirements and design thoroughly.
    • Design end-to-end test plans, procedures, and scripts to verify system requirements and identify bugs. Conduct testing both in lab environments and in the field, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
    • Take ownership of testing new releases, including features and regressions, and characterize system performance metrics.
    • Maintain up-to-date bug reports and performance metrics, and effectively communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders.
    • Design and implement automated test cases using scripting languages like Python and ROBOT. Perform manual testing, when necessary, especially for new features.
    • Contribution to the development of test automation frameworks and data analysis tools, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
    • Leverage various tools and methods such as network analyzers, traffic generators, simulators, and emulators to support system verification.
    • Identify, document, and report bugs and defects related to cellular network performance, functionality, and compatibility, analyzing test results and providing recommendations for improvement
    • Collaborate with the development team and product manager to ensure quality standards are met, debug and troubleshoot issues, and document testing plans and results.
    • Stay updated with the latest cellular network trends and technologies and implement continuous improvements and best practices within the team and organization.
    • Operate, maintain, and calibrate test equipment as necessary for testing procedures.

    About You:

    • Significant experience integrating and testing cellular communications systems, including GSM/2G and LTE/4G.
    • Proficiency in GSM and/or LTE architecture, protocols, and standards.
    • Experience with network testing tools and frameworks such as QXDM, Wireshark, Spirent, IXIA, iPerf, and Traceroute.
    • Experience in developing automated test cases.
    • Proficiency with Linux Operating Systems and scripting in Python and Bash.
    • Proven experience leading product testing and understanding of networking concepts.
    • Desired proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages like Python, C/C++, or Java.
    • Familiarity with programming languages, databases, web technologies, and infrastructure automation tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, AWS Cloud, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
    • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
