Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure a positive first impression of the dental office.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records as necessary.
- Collect and process patient payments, copayments, and insurance claims accurately.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely assistance.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing information on services, treatments, and any required preparations.
- Manage patient records and confidential information with utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide general information to patients both in person and over the phone.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize office operations and patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist in a dental or medical setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar dental practice management software.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer service abilities and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Detailoriented and capable of multitasking in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance during scheduled work hours.
- Flexibility to work the specified schedule, including some Saturday mornings.
- Basic knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and terminology is a plus.
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (required)
- Computer skills: 1 year (required)
- Dental receptionist: 1 year (required)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (preferred)
