About the opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Provide logístical and operational support to assist with planning complex and diverse projects and tasks, managing schedules, and executing highquality deliverables to help Mathematica meet client objectives and priorities
  • Coordinate and support technical assistance tasks, such as oversee logistics for virtual events; coordinate and oversee logistics for stakeholder communications; respond to inquiries and Help Desk questions; maintain and update contact lists; and support updates or improvements for processes and documentation.
  • Coordinate and support measures tasks, such as update documents describing annual updates to measure methodology; document changes to measure methodology; track public comments and responses to measure changes; and support updates or improvements for processes and documentation.
  • Support meeting planning, such as scheduling meetings; creating agendas; and drafting meeting summaries
  • Support deliverable management, such as summarizing task status and performance for monthly reports
  • Coordinate and support technical assistance and research team's tasks, such as performing literature searches and reviews; abstracting and synthesizing information from program or regulatory documents and reports; supporting focus groups/interviews and support analysis of findings; or summarizing information using descriptive statistics, tables, and figures
  • Support the design of data collection tools or resources
  • Identify and effectively communicate possible solutions to problems to project leadership and opportunities for process improvements to elevate project performance
  • Additional duties as needed, based on project placement

Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in the social sciences, public policy, or healthrelated field
  • Strong management, coordination, and organizational skills, especially an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of and handson experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly motivated, detailoriented, and selfdirected, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with other software, such as NVivo, is desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint or other collaborative software tools
  • Proactive problemsolving skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willingness to adapt and be flexible in responsibilities

Application process
This position offers an anticipated base salary of $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Washington, DC; Princeton, NJ; Chicago, IL; Oakland, CA; Cambridge, MA; Remote

Staff in our Health unit will eventually work with our largest client, Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS).

Most staff working on CMS contracts will be required to complete a successful background investigation including the Questionnaire for Public Trust Position SF-85.

Staff that are unable to successfully undergo the background investigation will need to be able to obtain work outside CMS.

Staff will work with their supervisor to get re-staffed, however if they are unable to do so it may result in employment termination due to lack of work.
