This position will be part of the Lockheed Martin Greenville Support Operations (GSO) Aircraft

Maintenance Team, supporting the Depot Level Maintenance of the F-16 at Greenville, South Carolina.

Provides support by installing electrical harnesses and performing operational checks, post modification testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and avionics systems on aircraft.

Assist with flight line maintenance as required.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
  • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, and balance.
  • Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FODfree work area.
  • Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures
  • Read and speak English.
  • Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.
  • Must be able and willing to work 2nd shift
  • Mon-Thurs 4x10Shift hours 3:00pm1:30am
  • Employee should be able to provide a shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications as detailed by the company.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.

Basic Qualifications:

8 or more years of F-16 Aircraft Avionics or other fighter/ Military aircraft avionics, Wire Routing, troubleshooting,

Operational checks and Installation Experience


Desired Skills:


  • Aircraft modification installation experience including wire harness installation and check out procedures.
  • Ability to interpret installation drawings, install and route electrical cable assemblies, perform multiple termination processes and perform continuity checks in accordance with standard processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
  • Ability to identify aircraft locations by station, buttline, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Willing to be trained and/or certified in special skills.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
