- Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of programs and support services developed through the SWEEP-Raíces grant for current FVSSW students and other grant constituents. This includes activities related to student success/wellness, advisement supports, community building, and faculty/staff professional development.
- Collaboration with the SWEEP-Raíces Outreach Coordinator and SWEEP-Raíces site teams to host/facilitate statewide community outreach activities to youth/high schools, community colleges and other institutions of higher education, and to the community at large in an effort to promote the profession of social work to prospective students, specifically to Hispanic/Latino and under-resourced communities.
- Collaboration with the SWEEP-Raíces Special Projects Coordinator in the development of a peer mentor/tutoring program to be implemented in fall 2024.
- Planning, development and maintenance of materials that support the goals of the grant and the FVSSW, to include student and community resources, grant activity flyers/announcements, and scholarship information.
- Assist in gathering and maintaining databases that track the enrollment, retention, and graduation of all FVSSW students, in response to USDEd reporting requirements and internal data tracking.
- Assist in analyzing enrollment, retention, and graduation activities and data. Compile and summarize findings into relevant reports for the USDEd and for program planning.
- Provide direct supervision and mentorship to FVSSW students working with the SWEEP-Raíces team. This includes weekly meetings, support in the development of the student project planner, collaboration with students to implement grant activities, and availability as needed for support.
- Responsible for surveying and compiling data related to grant activities, including the use of activity/feedback surveys, to be used in evaluation of grant goals and objectives.
- Report evaluation results to the Project Director, Dean/Principal Investigator (PI), External Evaluator, and to the project team. Make recommendations for program improvement, and participate in developing change initiatives in response to data.
- Collaborate with departments across the University to best serve students, and to share successful SWEEP-Raíces initiatives.
- Assist with developing a sustainability plan to support successful activities initiated by SWEEP-Raíces that can continue past the duration of the grant period.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the SWEEP-Raíces staff team including the FVSSW Dean/PI, Project Director, Special Projects Coordinator/Administrative Support, and Outreach Coordinator to accomplish grant goals and objectives.
- Attend weekly one on one meetings with Project Director, bi-weekly meetings with staff team, and monthly all-team meetings, and other meetings as assigned/needed.
- Work directly with SWEEP-Raíces site teams, which include faculty/staff and a current FVSSW student from different program locations. This includes coordination of schedules to assure grant activities are covered, working collaboratively to plan for and implement grant activities, and attendance at site based team meetings.
- Build positive working relationships with SWEEP-Raíces constituents, including students, faculty, staff, and other institutional and community partners.
- Take an active role in supporting the mission and priorities of the FVSSW and aligning these with the goals and objectives of the SWEEP-Raíces grant.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Information Position SWEEP-Raíces Coordinator Full Time/Part Time Part Time Job Type Term Appointment Position Summary The SWEEP-Raíces Coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of activities of the Title V-SWEEP (Social Work Educational Enhancement Project)-Raíces grant. The SWEEP-Raíces grant seeks to increase the enrollment, retention, and graduation of all Facundo Valdez School of Social Work (FVSSW) students, with a focus on the needs of students from Hispanic/Latino and under-resourced communities by building meaningful relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community. The SWEEP-Raíces Coordinator will primarily focus on projects related to student support services and student outcomes, and will support our community-based outreach efforts. This position will work with and support other grant constituents including faculty, staff and University and community partners. This position reports to the SWEEP-Raíces Project Director. The SWEEP-Raíces project team works closely and collaboratively. We are seeking a team player who is motivated and committed to the mission of the grant. The position will be based at the Albuquerque FVSSW program location, but serves students and constituents at all program locations, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Farmington, Rio Rancho, and online Master of Social Work (MSW) students. Occasional travel to these locations to carry out grant activities will occur.Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the SWEEP-Raíces Project Director the SWEEP-Raíces Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and management of grant activities, to include the following:
Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clincial Social WorkerBilingual (Spanish-English or other languages indigenous to NM and the US Southwest) Special Conditions for Eligibility Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to build relationships with and interact positively and effectively with students, School and University staff and faculty, and community partners (youth, educational institutions, and employers of social workers)Ability to develop, promote, implement, and evaluate grant activities
