M.C. Dean is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team based in Tysons, VA. Together we are enhancing M.C. Dean's brand visibility, enabling client growth, promoting employee engagement, and advancing organizational development.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advance strategic, integrated marketing communications campaign efforts and corporate communications programs on behalf of the department.

The marketing and communications department operates in a highly-collaborative structure that requires each of us to support other members of the team responsible for driving high-priority initiatives.

The specialist will be regularly called upon to lead key programs and initiatives as well as support projects led by other members of the team.


Corporate Marketing & Sales Enablement:


  • Marketing Events and Promotions (Virtual and In-Person): Plan, manage and develop annual conferences, events, and award submissions and department calendars. Lead clientfocused marketing and corporate communications activities through the development of print, digital and multimedia marketing toolkit materials and management of virtual and inperson client, employee
- and recruiting-focused tradeshows and events.

  • Sales Integration and

Marketing Platform Enhancements:
Support development and maintenance of marketing technology stack tools and integrations to advance direct client marketing efforts.


Branding & Corporate Communications:


  • Branding: Provide brand stewardship through all marketing and communications activities. Support brand consistency, training, and resource development across web, social, and internal communications platforms.
  • Editorial: Prepare communications and collateral for internal and external audiences. Work with internal stakeholders to write news stories, marketing collateral, presentations, video scripts and displays. Manage editorial calendar development, tracking, and weekly newsletters.
  • Change Management: Support change communications campaigns, including message development, employee engagement, and promotional launches for priority human resources, information technology, and safety initiatives.

Research & Reporting:


  • Marketing Intelligence Support: Support department market intelligence, competitive analysis and market segmentation research and reporting efforts.
  • Department Reporting: Work with the marketing and communications leadership to establish campaign metrics. Gather quantitative and qualitative data to obtain feedback on marketing and communications activities and strategies. Present findings and make recommendations for further action. Provide input for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • Minimum 4 years experience
  • Previous experience in a professional services, technology, or AEC firm
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns as an external or inhouse consultant
  • Experience managing marketing and employee events, site tours and demonstrations
  • Excellent written communications skills with mastery of AP Style guidelines
  • Demonstrated expertise working with highly technical content and have the ability to tailor that information for both lay and specialized audiences
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:


  • Demonstrated analytical skills with research experience
  • Experience working with highly technical content tailored to both lay and/or specialized audiences
  • Mastery of with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems
  • Experience with web analytics and media and social media distribution and tracking tools
  • Experience with data/statistical analysis tools
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal contracting
  • Basic HTML and CSS a plus
  • Master's degree a plus
