Teacher Assigned A - Teacher Assigned - Math Implementation Specialist High School

Office of School Leadership


(POSITION FOR ONE YEAR):


LOCATION:

Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens,


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:


Applicants must possess a valid New York State teaching certificate and a New York City license in one of the following areas.

Tenure is preferred

Secondary Mathematics (7-12)

Secondary Education (7-12)


SELECTION CRITERIA:

At least eight years of successful teaching experience working in schools with significant experience in middle/high schools Mathematics.

A minimum of three consecutive years of satisfactory, effective, or highly effective ratings

Strong knowledge of teacher development


DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Math Implementation Specialist for High School Grades is responsible for the ongoing development and support of school teams and the design and delivery of professional learning experiences and associated resources for schools.


During the school year, work with schools to conduct a needs assessment to determine mathematics content and pedagogical areas requiring support in the Curriculum Implementation.

As per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement
