SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with the testing, implementation, and maintenance of the ambulatory EHR system.
- Collaborates with management to create, introduce, and modify clinical content for the ambulatory EHR system.
- Responsible for developing and implementing education and training materials for the ambulatory EHR system in support of providers' and practice staff initial and ongoing training.
- Evaluate current clinical workflow and develop strategies to improve efficiency, accountability, and patient safety.
- Plans, organizes, and independently conducts ambulatory EHR optimization efforts and actively supports and promotes system standardization, utilization, and best practices.
- Participates in data collection and reporting efforts, ensuring the accuracy of physician and practice data.
- Promotes system security, information protection, and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance.
- Analyzes and provides handson support for moderate to complex inquiries. Identifies and facilitates discussions with appropriate technical group or vendor to resolve the problem and coordinates as needed.
- Communicate frequently with users, super users and IT/IS staff to resolve issues and/or ensure that systems and processes are working as designed.
- Develop reports and other output for clinical systems.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All other duties as required and assigned.
- Flexible with varying hours based on the needs of the department.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required for contacts.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years of hospital experience
- Strong project leadership skills with goal orientation. Able to work with professional and technical staff to manage large projects and change activities with mínimal business interruption and ontime delivery.
- Advance understanding of hospital operations and clinical functions.
- Strong project leadership and implementation skills.
- Strong analytical skills, able to translate concepts into implementation strategies.
