Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural engineering department in the Orlando area, overseeing all aspects of project development from conception through completion.
  • Design and analyze structures to ensure they are efficient and stable under load conditions while adhering to project specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide expertise in the use of a variety of construction materials, including but not limited to post tension, masonry, wood, and other relevant material types.
  • Utilize Revit and other advanced engineering software for modeling, analysis, and documentation of projects.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain competitiveness and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering with a significant focus on commercial projects, including highrises and midrises.
  • Proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of BIM methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of construction materials, including post tension, masonry, wood, etc.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required. SE License preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
