    Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.


    This Industrial Mechanic or Millwright is responsible for leading and providing preventative and corrective maintenance repairs to facilities and process equipment to include chilled water systems, cooling towers, hot water systems, compressed air systems, hammer mills, bucket elevators, dust collection, hydraulic systems, centrifugal, seal-less magnetic and positive displacement rotary lube pumps.

    This person should have solid experience installing and repairing mechanical seals and working with larger scale pumps.

    This individual will align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and laser alignment and repair and lubricate machines and equipment.


    The Industrial Mechanic or Millwright will assemble and install and commission equipment, using hand tools and power tools and use equipment diagrams and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures and trouble shoot operational issues.


    This Industrial Mechanic or Millwright will shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified items, using portable gas heating equipment.


    This is a Research and Development facility which means this individual will work collaboratively with office staff, EH&S teammates, Production Superivisors and Process Technicians in a non-union work environment.

    Works on repair and maintenance problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals


    • Participates in planning and coordination of maintenance work, including review of mechanical specifications
    • Performs reviews of proposed new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts
    • Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules
    • Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
    • Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
    • 6+ years of relevant work experience;
    or equivalent work experience
