Please check schedule and location details carefully below Primary location for this position is the Johnson Memorial Ambulatory Surgery Center in Enfield CT but requires time at the hospital in Stafford Springs

Position Purpose
Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.


What you will do

  • Performs complete and accurate preregistrations, registration, and admission functions
  • Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits
  • Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are
  • Collects noncovered fees

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum High school or equivalent
  • One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

Position Highlights and Benefits

  • 40 Hours per Week Rotating Shifts Differentials will apply
- majority of time shifts located in Enfield at the Johnson Memorial Surgical Center.
- includes 1 weekend rotation in the JMH Emergency Department located in Stafford Springs CT. Second shift every four weeks.
