Are you ready to knead a challenge? Join our industrial bakery as a Machine Operator and become an essential ingredient in our recipe for success


Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, you will:

  • Operate and monitor various machinery including VMI (computer), divider, RT, proofer, scoring station, oven, cooling tower, and blast freezer to ensure maximum efficiency and mínimal waste
  • Ensure all tasks conform to quality and food safety standards, promptly advising the QA Department of any deviations
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and customer specifications
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed company objectives and customer expectations
  • Review daily schedules and upcoming job changes, coordinating with onduty operators
  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products
  • Monitor machine speeds and perform routine inspections to ensure production line integrity
  • Address mechanical issues promptly, reporting them to supervisors or maintenance staff
  • Uphold safety protocols, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Assist in training new employees and covering for other operators when needed
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned

Requirements:


Academic:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in food manufacturing and as a baking industry operator


Physical:
Ability to read, write, and count, traverse stairs, ladders, and lifts, and lift/move equipment and supplies up to 40 pounds


Attributes:
Detail-oriented with exposure to noise, cold environments, and flour-related work


Schedule:
Availability for weekdays, weeknights, and/or weekends, working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts on a 12-hour schedule (3 days on, 4 days off)


Compensation:
Starting rate of $22.44 per hour with benefits kicking in after 3 months
