    Description

    As a Frontend Developer within our dynamic team, you'll take on a pivotal role, focusing primarily on enhancing User Experience and Frontend development. Your main objective will be to steer both strategic and technical directions to effectively deliver our esteemed content to customers via cutting-edge content systems.

    We seek an adept communicator who can liaise effectively with business partners, management, and fellow software developers, demonstrating a blend of creativity, astute analysis, and design prowess. Your collaborators will include product stakeholders shaping our business priorities and engineering leads driving our collective technical vision.

    In this role, you'll be integral to our Research and Development and Technology Functions, contributing to strategic direction, development, and future expansion. Your active involvement as a key business partner in shaping new technology strategies and solutions that harmonize with our business and operational objectives will be paramount. Additionally, you'll champion a culture focused on efficient execution and optimal performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with the UX Design team to translate concepts into a seamless, high-quality User Interface and User Experience that prioritizes responsiveness, accessibility, security, and scalability.
    • Develop code that adheres to established standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale web environment, and promote these standards through diligent code review.
    • Enhance the overall product experience by refining Frontend features within your domain and contributing to enhancements that benefit other teams.
    • Provide accurate development estimates for new initiatives and enhancement requests.
    • Partner with the Quality Assurance team to identify and rectify bugs and deficiencies in the product codebase.
    • Ensure alignment of all software development activities with organizational goals and objectives, while upholding best practices and coding standards.
    • Cultivate strong and collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget launch of new products, features, and services.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Design Engineering, or Mathematics.
    • 5 years of hands-on front-end development experience utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery and Ajax).
    • 3 years of experience with a modern JavaScript web framework is essential, along with proficiency in cloud design.
    • Familiarity with at least one technology or SaaS from each of the specified groups, including Cloud Infrastructure, Frontend Development (React required, along with Vue, Angular), Web Services Design & Best Practices, Unit testing (Jest), Software engineering tools (VSCode, Git, etc.), DevOps (Docker, SonarQube, Ansible, Gradle, Maven), and experience with the Micro-frontend concept is preferred.
    • Experience working in an agile environment, preferably SAFe, and collaborating with distributed teams (on/offshore).
    • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and visual design skills.
    • Strong organizational abilities, with a penchant for delivering technical support in a coherent and accurate manner.
    • Proven capacity for initiative, judgment, and discretion in achieving organizational objectives, with adept problem-solving skills.
    • Robust teamwork and analytical capabilities, enabling independent operation, driving change across functions, and consistently delivering results.
