    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

    What you will do in this role:

    • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
    • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
    • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
    • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
    • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
    • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • 1 year acute care experience

Our services include trauma, burn, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health and diagnostic services. We have two full service free-standing ER facilities. HCA Florida Kendall Hospital has received the Distinguished Hospital Award for Overall Clinical Excellence from HealthGrades. This national recognition places us in the top 5% of hospitals for overall clinical quality. We are a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center certified by the Florida Department of Health. We are verified as a Level I Adult Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons. The hospital is certified by the Joint Commission as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center. We are one of five American Burn Associations verified Burn Centers in the state.
