    Job Description:

    The GI Surgical Progressive Care Unit at Gulf Coast Medical Center is looking for empathetic RNs to join their outstanding team. Day shift positions are available from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

    • Hiring Incentives: Up to $17,800 for experienced RNs with 2+ years of experience. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles away.

    • Competitive Rates: Evening shift differential of $3 per hour from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

    As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and well-documented patient care using the nursing process. You will engage in critical thinking, management, and problem-solving across various areas of nursing practice. Collaboration with other disciplines, adherence to clinical standards, and prioritizing patient outcomes are key aspects of the position. Upholding ethical nursing practices and considering patient diversity are crucial elements of this role.

    Requirements:

    Education: Associates degree from an accredited school of professional nursing is required, while a Bachelors degree is preferred.

    Experience: Previous experience is necessary, and successful completion of competency assessments is essential. Specific department requirements can be found in the Nursing Addendums.

    Certifications: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, valid for at least 90 days post-hire. Department-specific certification needs can be found in the Nursing Addendums.

    License: Must hold a valid license in the State of Florida.

    Other Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal abilities, basic computer proficiency, and customer service skills are necessary for this role.
