Description

Summary:
The QC Lead/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality processes within the production environment.

This role manages daily testing and reporting, ensures all products meet established quality standards, and maintains compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Additionally, the QC Lead/Supervisor plays a crucial role in handling and resolving customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and continual quality improvement.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the production process to ensure that all products meet established quality standards.
  • Quality control tests and procedures for the raw materials, inprocess materials, and finished products.
  • Coordinate the distribution and maintain the daily standard folder for scheduled production.
  • Identify root cause and validate/invalidate customer quality complaints.
  • Review production quality complaints and make recommendations for their resolution.
  • Provide backup support for production/supplemental Q.C. whenever needed.
  • Assist in handling issues related to noncompliant materials or products received from suppliers.
  • Ensure all quality control instruments and equipment are functioning correctly and calibrated regularly.

Environmental

  • Maintain records, files and MSDS, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Perform EHS functions as needed.

Employee and Customer Contact

  • Provide handson and refresher training for any new hires.
  • Ensure onboarding and initial threemonth training for QC personnel is organized and monitor for compliance.
  • Provide demonstrations and explanations of Q.C. processes to visitors, customers, and employees.
  • Respond to distributor/customer requests for information.
  • Oversee QC techs schedule and manage their workload to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.

Research & Development

  • Assist QC Manager with projects to achieve departmental goals.
  • Assist in executing trials.
  • Conduct safety audits.
  • Special Projects.
  • Assist with all other Departmental functions as assigned (Customer service, Production & Scheduling, Design and Procurement).

QUALIIFICATIONS

Skills:


  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive and perform in a changing, fastpaced, and demanding environment.
  • Problemsolving, prioritization and multitasking skills are required.
  • Excellent attention to detail/accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Use and interpretation of testing equipment and resultant data.
  • Good color acuity.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related area
  • Knowledge of basic quality assurance procedures and reporting techniques.
  • Excellent color acuity with knowledge of 3dimensional color space (preferred)

Pay:
$50, $60,000.00 per year
