Proposal Solutions Architect

Position Description

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Analyze the RFI/RFP requirements, instructions and evaluation criteria.
  • Research and identify customer challenges, perform competitive analysis, develop solutions and evaluate solution alternatives for compelling, innovative and compliant proposal responses.
  • Responsible for identifying and developing proposal strategy and leading and collaborating with multiple technical and domain SMEs to develop and compose innovative technical solutions and approaches for proposal responses.
  • Partner with customer stakeholders and internal business/support partners to provide early customer engagement support to identify and shape opportunities, contribute to capture strategy and determine technical solutions.
  • Research current and emerging technologies, processes, industry domains, approaches, and methodologies to meet the customer's needs.
  • Performs handson authoring of proposal responses.
  • Participate and support endtoend business development and proposal development lifecycle and gate reviews. This includes early opportunity qualification through proposal submission.
  • Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, white paper, responses to engage prospective customers and position CGI for winning opportunities.
  • Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying, researching, and vetting potential partners.
  • Serve as a proposal manager for quickturn opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members with less experience.
  • Support technical contract transition and execution as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor with 20+ years of IT experience
  • to include strategic consulting (10+ years), system modernization and implementation, and experience or solid understanding of a wide-range of technologies (legacy, cloud, cyber, DevOps) and types of delivery engagement.
  • 10+ years of experience architecting proposal solutions and leading and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals.
  • Ability to successfully lead solution development and technical, management, pricing proposal volumes for large scale, highly strategic, and complex bids.
  • Ability to perform in a collaborative, fastpaced, growthfocused environment.
  • Ability to think outside of the box to solve customer challenges.
  • Must be able to multitask across several concurrent efforts.
  • Must have experience with the Federal Government procurement processes; including the newer and more "commercial" like process (i.e. phased approach, agile).
  • US Citizen.


CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $96, $235,200.00.
