Collins Aerospace is looking for a
Master Tech, Quality Compliance at our Chula Vista, CA location who possesses a deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise.

You will perform quality inspections of airplane approved DSQR parts and write 8130 airworthiness tags (FAA/EASA). You will enjoy working in a team environment, completing daily tasks at hand, writing, and inspecting. You will also maintain charts for organization, quality clinic activities (IPUs) and other duties as assigned.


This position is 1st shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) and requires full time presence Onsite which could include overtime and occasional weekend work to support production.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ability to interpret instructions (verbal, written, illustration).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Conduct inprocess quality inspections.
  • Schedule and prioritize workload in areas of responsibility with support from supervision.
  • Adhere to supervisor's instructions and guidance.
  • Ability to use SAP.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office.
  • Will recertify airworthiness tag every 36 months

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:


  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.
  • 2 years Quality Assurance experience.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of the Aerostructures business
  • Airworthiness tag experience
  • Certification in AS9100
  • Manufacturing background
  • FAA tag certification

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
