- Train with mid and senior level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
- Successfully pass and remain current on all certifications
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Prior professional experience as a technician / lube tech
- Strong automotive background
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
- General Motors experience is a plus

Job DescriptionDue to unprecedented, rapid growth at Garber Chevrolet Highland, we have an immediate need for 5 Super Stars to join our Service Department team
The right candidate will be eligible for initial training and ongoing General Motors Automotive Technician and Automotive Standards of Excellence technician training PLUS an automotive repair tool and tool box allowance
Prior automotive repair shop, tire store, or automotive dealership service department experience is required. We highly encourage recent Automotive Tech School graduates to apply.
This is a chance to have a career with an earning potential that can exceed $100,000 per year If you are sharp and are a fast learner your career can accelerate quickly. We have 5 levels of Automotive Technicians: Entry Level Technician / Lube Tech – Apprentice – Main Line – Master Technician – World Class Technician.
