Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a
Student Research Worker to join our team in a temporary, part
- time position to work within the Division of Infectious Diseases. Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics is a world leader in providing care for children. Our mission areas include Healthcare, Education and Research. This position will support the department by providing support to Dr. Lisa Saiman with advanced data analysis on various studies in infectious diseases.


Responsibilities:


  • Collect and enter data into electronic database in a secure confidential manner.
  • Analysis of large datasets for rate calculations and trends over time.
  • Analysis of compliance with computer decision support for diagnostic stewardship.
  • Assist PI to prepare summary reports, abstracts, and manuscripts.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalency required.
Preferred Qualifications

  • College Graduate or Equivalency.
  • Courses in epidemiology and biostatistics.
Other Requirements

  • Familiarity with word, excel, PowerPoint, and statistical program, e.g., SAS.
