Job Overview:
We are offering an exciting internship opportunity to join "The Empanada Lady," a small, Black and Latin women-owned business located in the heart of downtown Baltimore.
As the owner and founder, I am seeking a motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for hospitality to become a part of our team and learn all aspects of our business operations.
Duties:
- Assist in various aspects of business operations, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with food preparation and cooking techniques
- Supporting customer service and interactions
- Learning inventory management and ordering processes
- Participating in marketing and promotional activities
- Shadowing the owner and founder to understand the overall vision and strategy of the business
- Embrace the opportunity to gain handson experience and knowledge in a small business setting
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals
- Collaborate with the team to contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance business growth
Experience:
- Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a desire to learn and grow within the field
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Willingness to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic work environment
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Commitment to supporting and uplifting small, minorityowned businesses
