Duties

• The incumbent will serve as point of contact on administration of Joint Commission (JC) survey.
• Responsible for maintaining command readiness for Joint Commission (JC) surveys.
• Maintains all information relevant to JC continuous readiness
• Monitor Command's compliance to JC standards and develop. action plans
• Provide guidance related to the implementation, interpretation, and evaluation of JC standards
• Educate to staff on JC standards implementation and compliance.
• Prepare charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data for presentations and briefings.

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a two-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support to management and conducting studies in the areas of maintaining command readiness for Joint Commission (JC) surveys; retrieving patient information from a variety of data sources including medical records and hospital computer systems (such as Military Health System Patient Portal, GENESIS).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR

Education:
Ph.

D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.

Add the two percentages.
