- Evaluate machinery, procedures, and operations to pinpoint opportunities for bolstering safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead initiatives to refine standards and procedures, fostering operational excellence.
- Assess proposals from suppliers for new equipment acquisitions and oversee their integration.
- Implement optimal manufacturing processes, leveraging contemporary organizational principles to ensure competitive cost structures.
- Continuously enhance existing and new manufacturing processes through ongoing improvement endeavors.
- Forge close partnerships with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment efficacy.
- Execute Capability Studies and Time Studies to elevate process efficiency.
- Develop Visual Work Instructions and offer production assistance and process issue resolution.
- Champion cost-saving endeavors, with a focus on reducing waste, rework, and cycle times. Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures to streamline manufacturing processes.
- Manage projects and deliver daily troubleshooting assistance. Actively engage in Kaizen events to propel process enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2-4 years of engineering project involvement in metal manufacturing.
- Expertise in Lean manufacturing methodologies, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in Creo, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
