- Prepares and maintains the budget documents for the University and affiliated auxiliaries
- Maintains and monitors position control systems for all University and auxiliary personnel
- Supports regular financial planning and analysis for unit/department level activities as well as at college, divisional, and campus levels
- Computes and analyzes additional employee costs and savings due to voluntary leave without pay, overtime and/or part time employment, FICA savings due to pre-tax benefits, supplement costs for additional medical coverage, etc
- Prepares financial data for the annual state budget request utilizing the Banner Finance System, University's data warehouse, Access database, and Excel
- Completes ad hoc projects and reports as requested
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field; Degree in business management is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public sector, non-profit, and/or government-related entity; Experience in higher education is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting concepts
- Demonstrated understanding of budgeting concepts
- Experience with data management systems
- Evidence of experience creating and modifying complicated Access queries and reports
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency working with an Enterprise Resource Planning System. Ellucian Banner ERP experience is a plus
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
