UPPER SCHOOL MATH TEACHER

• Be competent in classroom management
  and exhibit a proficiency in the instruction of math.
• Demonstrate the ability to inspire learning and cultivate relationships with students.
• Prepare appropriate weekly lesson plans including instructional objectives, planned activities, Biblical integration, assessments, and resources.
• Incorporate effective classroom management and discipline procedures to provide for a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Regularly review and update course curriculum guide/maps to assure the fulfillment of proper instructional priorities and pacing.
• Promote use of educational technology and be competent in remote learning platforms. (Google Classroom, ZOOM, Google Meet, etc. )
• Model effective teacher/parent partnering through timely communication with parents in support of student learning.
• Give evidence of a biblical worldview and a personal spiritual commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and should be committed to and in agreement with the philosophy and objectives of SouthLake Christian Academy as articulated in our statement of faith.
• Give evidence of a commitment to a local church.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as a contributing member of the SouthLake community.

Education

Bachelor's Degree is required and a concentration in Math Education is preferred.

North Carolina certification preferred.

Pay:
$34, $41,559.79 per year
